TAILORED RESIDENTIAL CARE FOR CHILDREN​​

At Junella Care, we provide an all-inclusive residential care package tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.

Our nurturing, family-style home offers a safe and supportive environment where children aged 8 to 17 can grow, learn, and thrive. We focus on life education, personal development, and meaningful experiences that help each child build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

Children are encouraged to explore their interests through structured activities and enriching opportunities, all designed to promote independence and long-term well-being.

Our weekly pricing is fully inclusive, covering every aspect of a child’s care from daily living and emotional support to educational enrichment and personal development within a warm, home-like setting, never an institutional one.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

 

BESPOKE, CHILD-LED ACTIVITIES:

During children's free time we customise activities to each child’s interests, fostering confidence, skills, and potential career paths. Examples include:

  • Horse riding and care – encourages responsibility, confidence, and a love for animals.

  • Outdoor adventures (climbing, swimming, hiking etc.) – inspires teamwork, resilience, and fitness.

  • Art, music & performing arts – encourages creativity and self-expression.

  • Sports & team games – develops coordination, discipline, team building and social skills.

  • Cultural & educational trips – visits to museums, theatres, and historical sites to inspire learning.

 

EDUCATIONAL & EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:

       We recognise that children may need additional support. We offer:

  • Out-of-home support worker – a dedicated staff member available bi-weekly to provide guidance, emotional support, and assistance with future education or career planning where possible.

  • Life skills training – budgeting, time management, communication, and independent living.

  • Bi-Weekly therapy sessions (if applicable) tailored to meet each child's needs.

  • Animal-assisted emotional support (if applicable) – helping children build trust and emotional resilience.

 

ALL-INCLUSIVE CARE, ESSENTIALS, AND ACTIVITIES:

We provide everything a child needs to feel safe, comfortable, and valued:

  • Personal clothing & essentials , including preferred toiletries.

  • Mobile phones & technology (if applicable) ensuring children stay connected.

  • 24/7 dedicated care team always a minimum of at least two staff members present for personalised attention.

  • A set maintenance budget which we provide at no additional cost to the council, to cover any unexpected damage that the children may cause.

 

SAFE, FAMILY-FOCUSED ENVIRONMENT:

  • Located in the town of Harrogate, our home provides both tranquillity and easy access to larger cities like Leeds, Bradford, and York.

  • Homely setting designed to feel like a family home, not an institution.

  • Local access to healthcare & activities supporting children’s well-being.

  • Experienced, compassionate staff  highly trained professionals in child care.

  • Where applicable, we host home-cooked dinners with family or friends to encourage connection and shared moments. We will always try to support with travel costs to help maintain important relationships.
