The Team
Samantha knight
Home manager

With years of experience in the field of social care, I have dedicated my career to supporting vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, struggling with substance use, mental health complexities and young people facing various challenges. My experience has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
Outside of work, I am passionate about exploring the world through travel and enjoy unwinding with a good Netflix series. I love learning, particularly in areas that broaden my personal and professional development. I’m a proud parent to two children who are highly competitive in dance and gymnastics, and I enjoy supporting them in their endeavours and we travel the country competing. Whether it’s a fun activity like laser quest or axe throwing or a visit to the cinema, I’m always up for new experiences and adventures. I strive to maintain a healthy balance between my professional dedication and personal interests, ensuring a well-rounded and fulfilling life.

Lisa Franks
Deputy Manager

I am a dedicated and compassionate individual with a strong passion for supporting children and young people, particularly those in vulnerable situations. With over 20 years' experience working within the multiple and disadvantaged adults and children sector, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. I believe in fostering positive relationships, promoting emotional well-being, and empowering children to make informed choices about their futures. I have experience working in team leadership roles in supported accommodation for looked after children who are leaving care, which has helped me develop a collaborative and solution-focused approach to problem-solving. I also have 15 years' experience working as a Police Community Support Officer where I developed several community projects, helping young people and children thrive and grow withing their communities.

In my personal life, I enjoy activities that encourage creativity and personal growth, such as reading, outdoor activities and I am currently completing the 214 Wainwright mountains challenge. I also enjoy history and love visiting castles. I am passionate about learning and development, always seeking opportunities to enhance my knowledge in the fields of child welfare, safeguarding, and leadership. I strive to be a positive role model, not only for the children I care for but also for the team I work alongside, leading with integrity, empathy, and respect. Ultimately, my goal as a Deputy Manager is to ensure that the children in our care feel safe, heard, valued, and empowered to build a bright future for themselves.
